Blinging iPod Touch

Today I finished blinging my iPod Touch.

I don't really use it anymore, except for taking pictures (I think the camera has a great lighting for selfies even though quality is poor) and storing other pictures in. SINCE I GOT A MOTO X PLAY SMARTPHONE. Indeed, I don't use my LG dLite flip phone anymore.. snif.. I changed in December for a smartphone. It's amazing though, way faster, and I think the camera is amazing, except for taking selfies, I prefered the iPod's lighting cuz it was more lenient but that's acceptable. Also is it me or big smartphones (or just mine) have a tendency to elongate the face when taking selfies? I feel that. By the way I did try to bling my phone case but it ended up as a fail cuz I wasn't proud of the result. I found the bling not pretty enough to endure the hassle of being super careful with the phone when carrying it with me. I still thought of putting the result on here but actually I don't know the purpose of it.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the iPod Touch blinging process. This was the second attempt since the first was a disaster so I removed everything - hence the iPod looking all messed up on the first picture.

Talking about glue:
Also I tried the Beacon Gem-Tac glue.. wasn't really impressed even though the reviews seem to praise this product. I think I was too impatient because I found it didn't glue very fast; the pieces kept falling so I had to go back to the E-6000 glue and another one we have at house. But even though it seems like most people on Youtube that do DIY phone cases videos are using the E-6000 glue, it makes my pieces and rhinestones a lot less shinier.. like cloudy... I really need to find another glue because that prevents me from putting rhinestones and I'm stuck with pearls. Ok actually I just read that it depends of the rhinestones quality. That would make sense... I bought them from Dollarama for $1 haha..
--- As I'm re-reading this, I definitely underestimated that glue (Gem-Tac) and judged it too fast. Maybe it's not that good for normal pieces (since it doesn't glue that fast), but for rhinestones, it's another thing. You can click here to know why this glue is actually prettyyy good to preserve the gems' brilliance.

I am more or less satisfied with the look overall. I think it's because of the glue I used (it's not the E-6000 one) that sticks fast, but damages the sparkle of the gems. I won't use it in the future except if I really need it. And the case looks prettier under certain lightings. But it's okay. ¯\(◉‿◉)/¯

My summer so far.

I haven't been really busy lately. Well, I work, and it's draining quite of my energy.. because I walk in the sun and heat all day. But now it's almost over, and I'm quite happy I've got one month and a half to relax.

As of now, my summer has consisted of (apart from working):
1. Start two decoden/bling projects and fail.. two times. Never twice without thrice. I hope.
2. Watching all sorts of videos on YouTube. Finishing Master of None webseries.
3. Moving in my new room. My sister recently moved in her first apartment. I'm a bit sad she left but I still got her room. :D

So as you can see, a really productive summer...........

Today I also cooked some coconut oil I had prepared yesterday. But it ended up being a fail because I only used two coconuts, and I guess it wasn't enough for a "coconut crust" (the crust that forms after a day you let the coconut oil rest, and then you put in the pan to heat it and produce the oil).
But mine, because there was just too much water and not enough coconut crust (my guess), when I heated it, it didn't make oil, it just boiled like water. So I just said screw this, because I don't know if you've seen my video on making coconut oil, but I think I had used 5 coconuts that time? And the quantity I got was insanely small. And one coconut is quite expensive. So I went to the store and bought virgin coconut oil. 15.85 CAD (473 ml) but I think it'll be worth it.

I wonder if this oil will work wonders on my hair. :D

Update (Dec 16th 2016) : I finished this jar this week. I would use it one time/week or less, putting it on the ends of my hair and massaging it at my roots a couple of hours before taking a shower. I will not buy it again, and I don't think I'll buy coconut oil in general again. It didn't make my hair softer, shinier, or better imo. I felt my hair even dry/frizzy, esp when I would leave it in my hair overnight at the beginning (so I stopped doing it). Maybe it was the brand, although I did make sure to buy organic virgin coconut oil and I trust the lady when she said the brand was quite good. Maybe its wonders work less on hair.

I also got this dress from Simons! It was initially 69$ but I bought it for 10$. The dress brand is Fashion Union (I don't know this brand.)

What an uneven tan. Lol.

Armpit fat. Yeah I don't know how to get rid of it.
(and even if I knew I would probably not even do the exercises.)

This dress is cute. Just that I never wear dresses nor heels in public (the heels were worn one time at my high school prom)... but I couldn't let this offer pass either. For 10$ it's a good deal. And I've been liking more and more Japanese fashion (some gyaru substyles). So I'm kind of pushing myself to dress more feminine.

I decided to pair it with a shirt I had in my closet for years. I never wore it because I find it too small and I don't know how to wear something see-through like that. But right now I think it looks cute. And I can wear it with pants, so it's more casual than a dress and high heels.

But if I want to wear it like that, I need to go see a professional to cut the dress...

And that's how the top with the dress look like together.
I think it's a bit weird.

Anyway, I also received my circle lenses!! About 4 days ago. I can't believe I finally got circle lenses. I need toric ones because I have astigmatism.. I bought them from PinkyParadise. I wore them two times, and the comfort is great. I do feel there is something on my eye, but it doesn't hurt. Only, I see blurry... As if the prescription was not strong enough. Still, I verified the bottles when the lens arrived and the prescription was correct. I still want to wear them though. I think they look okay on my eyes..

That's my summer so far. Nothing exciting, maybe that's why I'm not writing anything on this blog.

Thank you for reading. o3o

Update Nov. 21st 2016 : I went to a professional to cut the dress to make a shirt a couple of weeks after this article, and I regretted it after. It does not look good at all. Just thought I should write this here to remember to not cut a dress anymore. :(
