Shin Ramyun noodles

Yesterday I just bought Shin Ramyun noodles. I had not eaten instant noodles since I went to Taiwan in August 2014.

Noodles in Taiwan

The noodles you see above were really good. I don't remember the brand but I guess I could find it if I wasn't so lazy right now. I ate these noodles for approximately a week/a week and a half before discovering onigiris (FYI 御饭团 are the ones I would buy from the Family Mart when in Taiwan and it was my first time eating these and the taste was amazing).
I know I should have eaten true Taiwan food during my whole journey, and I kind of regret it now, but I was scared of getting sick. And of course I still got to eat local dishes.

Anyway, yesterday I bought Shin Ramyun noodles. I'm always curious when I walk through the Asian food alley. For no particular reason yesterday I decided time had come to try them - so I bought two packages. And the reviews on Amazon truly praise them.
I also almost bought the Sapporo Ichiban noodles, but when I saw the sodium intake on the package, I changed idea (I know instant noodles are already not healthy and high in sodium, but 90% sodium intake on the Chicken flavored Sapporo Ichiban freaked me out.)

I don't know why I added an egg.

The taste is really salty and spicy... that's how I would describe it. I don't even know what was the taste. Well it's written spicy on the packetso I guess that's it. But I thought it would taste more than only salt and spicyness. I don't know if it's because I don't like this flavor or these noodles, or I just don't like instant noodles anymore. Anyway, I'm not gonna rebuy them. And I don't know what I'm gonna do with the other packet, probably give it if I encounter someone that likes these.
Although I saw an Amazon review that said you could add other ingredients like mushrooms and vegetables. I don't know why I didn't think about that, only added an egg. So maybe I'll keep the second packet and give it another try with more ingredients in it. It probably will taste better.

Update Sept. 27th: Finally I ate the second packet this weekend LOL. This thing is just too darn convenient for its price and easy to make, although I shall not rely on it too much. Anyway this time I didn't put an egg and it tasted way less salty. I also put a couple of spinaches cuz that was the only vegetable I had, but it was still good. I'm really tempted to buy this again..(▽д▽)
